A 17th-century draughtsman’s commission at an English country estate becomes entangled with intrigue and a possible murder.
In 1694, Mr Neville is commissioned by Mrs Herbert to make drawings of her estate. As he carries out the work, details in the landscape and the household suggest that the commission conceals a darker purpose. The BFI record credits Peter Greenaway and names Anthony Higgins, Janet Suzman and Anne Louise Lambert.
