About
Author and artist Edmund de Waal discusses his book How to Begin, about mentorship and finding a creative voice, at Elim Church in Bath.
Edmund de Waal, author of The Hare with Amber Eyes and Letters to Camondo, talks about his book How to Begin, which explores starting a creative life and the role of mentors. The book centres on letters between his grandmother, Elisabeth Ephrussi, and the poet Rainer Maria Rilke, who advised her on balancing creativity with work in 1920s Vienna, and on her later role mentoring de Waal himself. Doors open at 6.30pm for a 7pm start; the event has moved to Elim Church.
