BISHI presents: Maya

Bishi presents Maya, an immersive multimedia concert reimagining a London teenager's awakening to her own power, blending electronic sitar with Hindustani and Western classical influences.

This concert presents Maya, a bold narrative work following an ordinary London teenager whose first period becomes the source of her strength, reframing menstruation as resilience rather than shame. Created and directed by Poulomi Basu in collaboration with CJ Clarke, the piece combines storytelling, activism and innovative technology with arresting visuals and a layered sonic landscape drawing on Hindustani and Western classical influences and electronic sitar. Presented in partnership with SAA-uk, the performance begins at 7.45pm following 7pm doors.
