The Summer Before I Was Born
About
Scripted Youth Theatre performs Alan Wood's original abstract comedy set in the absurd bureaucratic world of Pre-Life, before birth.
Scripted Youth Theatre presents The Summer Before I Was Born, an original abstract comedy written and directed by Alan Wood. Set in 'Pre-Life', a world of lab coats, clipboards and questionable technology where the unborn must have their names chosen, emotions assessed and lives simulated before being given a permitted birth time, the play follows two people who meet before either has lived. It is described as funny, strange, deliberately absurd and occasionally touching, asking whether you can love someone before you have met them.
