The Accrington Pals

Ink Contemporary Theatre stages The Accrington Pals, a First World War drama about the women left behind, in support of the Poppy Appeal.

Ink Contemporary Theatre presents The Accrington Pals, an amateur production staged in support of the Stamford Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal 2026. Set in the Lancashire town of Accrington during the First World War, the play focuses on the women left behind, exploring a community's resilience and quiet strength in the face of loss and uncertainty. Described as moving and at times humorous, it honours both those at home and the men whose lives were shaped by war.
