Dayanita Singh

Photographic works and portable museums transform The Curve into a shifting landscape shaped by Dayanita Singh's relationship with Indian classical music.

This exhibition brings together Singh's photographs and portable museum structures, including Ustad Museum, Museum of Tanpura and Musicians' Bus, with newly commissioned prints. It traces how a formative tour across India with tabla maestro Zakir Hussain shaped Singh's practice; a new soundscape by Singh and collaborator MT Aditya Srinivasan brings the connection between music and photography into the gallery. The displayed arrangement will evolve during the exhibition.
