Free monthly guided tours at St Albans Cathedral designed for visitors with visual impairments, led by specially trained guides.

St Albans Cathedral offers free guided tours exclusively for people with visual impairments, led by Cathedral Guides trained by VocalEyes. Each tour begins with a short orientation using tactile maps and an introduction to the story of Alban, then focuses on the textures, sounds, spaces, smells and atmosphere of the building. Tours are limited to six visually impaired visitors plus their companions and take place at a quiet time of the week, on the last Friday of the month at 1.30pm.
