About

A British Academy panel discussion on how music affects our brains, emotions and mood, followed by an interactive listening experience.

Part of the British Academy's Searching for wellness collection, this evening event explores how music shapes our feelings, connections and memories, drawing on neuroscience, psychology and creative practice. A panel discussion featuring Professor Sophie Scott and Professor Renee Timmers, chaired by Shahidha Bari, runs from 6:30pm to 7:45pm, followed by an interactive listening experience with specially curated music. The panel will be recorded and live-streamed on YouTube, and the event has live subtitles; under-18s must attend with a parent or legal guardian.
