Walk & Talk: An Introduction to Fungi

A sold-out guided fungi walk with The Parks Trust's resident expert through Linford Wood, covering identification, lifecycles and ecology.

This guided walk introduces participants to the fungi of Linford Wood, an ancient woodland in Milton Keynes. A resident expert leads roughly two hours of walking at a slow-moderate pace, with regular stops to examine specimens and learn basic identification features, lifecycles and biological functions. The session is educational rather than foraging-focused, with no picking or sampling of fungi encouraged. It is aimed at adults and accompanied children aged 12 and over; only assistance dogs are welcome.
