Birkenhead Day Of The Dead

The fourth annual Birkenhead Day Of The Dead, a day of procession, bricklaying ceremony and afterlife rave celebrating The People's Pyramid.

This annual event honours the dead while celebrating life, centred on The People's Pyramid, a monument founded by Jimmy Cauty and Bill Drummond that is built brick by brick. The day begins at Future Yard with the Skool of the Spektacle, where attendees prepare props and roles, followed by a procession to Birkenhead Park for the Bricklaying Ceremony, featuring sound and vision from Towerblock1 and a pyramid levitation attempt. The night concludes back at Future Yard with the Sports Banger AfterLife Party, running until 3am. A dress code of hi-viz workwear applies and ticket holders receive a free copy of The Pyramid Post.
