Reich, Meredith, Bonelli: Flowers of Battle
About
A multidisciplinary concert blending dance, electronics and live music, featuring Devon Bonelli's world premiere Flowers of Battle alongside works by Anna Meredith and Steve Reich.
This multidisciplinary performance fuses dance, electronics and live music, with dancers from Company Chameleon performing alongside RNCM's Emerz Collective. The centrepiece is Devon Bonelli's Flowers of Battle, a world premiere reimagining the Spartan agoge as a world of ritual, desire and becoming, scored for four dancers, string quartet, brass trio, percussion and electronics. The programme opens with Anna Meredith's Tuggemo and closes with Steve Reich's Different Trains, marking the composer's 90th birthday year. The event runs approximately 75 minutes.
