Grateful Dead – Blues for Allah

Grateful Dead’s 1975 album Blues for Allah is played back in 360° spatial audio, highlighting its long-form, experimental arrangements.

The programme presents Blues for Allah, recorded after an 18-month break, as one of the Dead’s more exploratory records. The source highlights the extended title suite and songs including “Franklin’s Tower” and “The Music Never Stopped.” Steven Wilson’s remix is the format-specific credit; the Dead are heard on record rather than appearing live.
