An exhibition connecting everyday objects, local community stories and hidden places in South Shields.
To mark The Word’s tenth anniversary, lead artist Eric MacLennan worked with seven local community groups. Their objects, photographs and stories are displayed alongside a map to 102 hidden places around town. The exhibition is in the downstairs pod from 9 October 2026 to 30 January 2027.
