Squidge

Tiggy Bayley's dark comedy solo play about a young support assistant and a grieving Traveller boy, performed at the Traverse Theatre.

Tiggy Bayley performs her one-woman play Squidge, directed by Selwin Hulme Teague. Daisy Wright, newly bereaved and broke, takes a job as a one-to-one support assistant at an inner-city primary school and is assigned Paddy Connors, a chaotic Irish Traveller boy with a grief he cannot name. The show, shortlisted for the Popcorn Award 2024, explores poverty, education and loss through a darkly funny lens. Both performances are part of the Traverse's £1 Ticket Project.
