Human x Artificial Intelligence (Day 2 of 3)
About
Day 2 of LSE's free HAI101 lecture series, with five talks on machine understanding, AI consciousness and cognitive-like learning.
This is the second of three days in HAI101, a lecture series from the Centre for Philosophy of Natural and Social Science at LSE exploring what imitative machines can teach us about minds and vice versa. Day 2 features five talks: Helen Jin (Penn) on measuring machine and human understanding, Prof. Megan Peters (UCL) on testing for consciousness in artificial minds, Maximilian Noichl (Utrecht) on model transfer between sciences, Dr. Nicholas Bishop (Oxford) on boundedly rational agents at collective scale, and Prof. Matthia Sabatelli (Groningen) on cognitive-like phenomena in neural learning. Talks run from 9:15 to 16:00 at the Hong Kong Theatre, with other days of the series on 23 October and 13 November, each with separate registration.
