Rio Forever Cult Lates: Flesh Gordon + Gums

A late-night Pink Palace double bill of 1970s cult sex-parody films Flesh Gordon and Gums at the Rio Cinema.

Pink Palace presents a midnight double bill of two cult movies that originally screened at the Rio in the 1970s. First is Flesh Gordon (1974), a pornographic pastiche of the sci-fi classic Flash Gordon, in which the hero travels to the planet Porno to stop a sex ray that has turned Earth into a giant orgy. After a short break comes the rarely seen Jaws parody Gums (1976), about a toothless mermaid preying on swimmers in the seaside town of Great Head. The combined runtime is 160 minutes and the screening is rated 18.
