From Inferiority to Belonging
About
A one-day CPD workshop at Willows Counselling Service exploring Alfred Adler's ideas on inferiority feelings and belonging as a framework for understanding mental health.
This one-day Saturday workshop, led by Adlerian therapist Judy Potts, reframes mental health through Alfred Adler's insight that the deepest human need is belonging and significance. It examines how inferiority feelings can underlie struggles such as anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties and self-doubt, and argues that solutions lie in social connection rather than self-help alone. Running 9:30am to 3pm with a refreshments break and lunch break, it is designed as CPD for counsellors, psychotherapists and other mental health professionals, and may also suit those in caring, teaching, youth work or pastoral roles.
