About
The Bedford Choral Society performs Haydn's iconic masterpiece, The Creation, a grand oratorio depicting the creation of the world.
This masterpiece, first performed in Vienna in 1798, chronicles the six days it took God to create the world and the seventh day of rest. The performance vividly depicts scenes such as chaos, light, floods, and heavenly joy through luminous musical colours. The event features the Bedford Choral Society accompanied by the Bedford Sinfonia and conducted by Ian Smith.
