Dementia-friendly Social Dance with Tea

An inclusive, dementia-friendly social dance session for older people with tea and cakes, led by experienced dance facilitators.

Dance Hastings hosts a two-hour social dance session at St Augustine's Church Hall, designed to be inclusive and accessible for older adults and people with dementia, along with their friends and carers. Experienced facilitators lead dance activities and freestyle dancing, supported by volunteer dance buddies, with scarves used to aid connection and creativity. The music mix spans ballroom, jive/rock 'n' roll, jazz, lindy hop, samba and disco, and tea and cakes are served alongside the dancing.
