Brixton Market Heritage Walk

Volunteer guides trace the growth of Brixton’s street markets, covered arcades and shops into a major shopping centre, starting at Beehive Place and Brixton Station Road.

The 90-minute route follows more than 150 years of changing shopping streets and markets. Adult tickets cost £5 and include the Brixton Markets heritage-walk book; advance booking is essential and groups are limited. Three walks are explicitly published for 10 October, 14 November and 12 December. The October booking link has a September label but its current destination confirms the October date. The December booking link currently returns an error; its native date remains published.
