Weekend community theatre workshops at the Station Theatre covering performance skills and hands-on lighting and sound training, open to all experience levels aged 16+.
Station Sessions 2 is a season of weekend workshops practising the craft of community theatre, split into two strands. Performance sessions cover audition technique, pantomime skills, voice and improvisation, while tech sessions give hands-on experience with the theatre's real lighting and sound equipment, from rigging to plotting cues and programming sound. Each two-hour session is built around doing rather than listening, with no experience needed, and coffee is available from 10am. Sessions in the listing window include Improvisation in Performance (Sat 7 Nov), The Sound System (Sun 8 Nov) and Programming Sound (Sun 22 Nov).
