Songwriters Stage
About
A free, inclusive open night at The Prince Albert where songwriters of any experience level can share their own songs in a supportive setting.
Songwriters Stage is a relaxed, supportive evening for songwriters to perform their own material, including works in progress, in front of a friendly audience. It is open to everyone regardless of experience, with particular encouragement for groups under-represented in the music scene such as women, non-binary people, people with disabilities and young people (under-16s must be accompanied by a responsible adult). The evening is facilitated by Ben of Ben Brockett Music Production, Fireside Bookshop and Stroud alt-indie band Lo-Hi-Lo. A limited number of slots can be pre-booked, or performers can sign up on the night by 7pm on a first-come-first-served basis; music starts at 7:30pm and the evening usually finishes by 10pm.
