A short introductory course providing basic lifesaving skills and knowledge for assessing and responding to unresponsive children and infants.

This introductory course provides learners with the knowledge and basic lifesaving skills needed to assess and respond to a child or infant that is unresponsive and not breathing. The skills covered include how to deliver cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) on a child and baby, how to access and use a defibrillator, and how to recognise and treat choking. By the end of the session, learners will be able to demonstrate primary survey techniques and correct CPR.
