Calendar Girls The Musical

Rugby Theatre stages the Gary Barlow and Tim Firth musical about WI members who create a nude charity calendar after a friend's husband dies.

This amateur production, presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals, tells the true story of Annie and Chris, who persuade their Women's Institute friends to pose for an 'alternative' charity calendar after Annie's husband John dies from leukaemia. Written by Gary Barlow and Tim Firth, the musical runs at Rugby Theatre from 24 to 31 October, with matinee performances on Sundays and Saturday 31 October and no show on Monday 26 October. The show contains mild adult themes, brief tasteful partial nudity and references to illness and grief, with parental guidance recommended for younger audiences.
