A guided walking tour exploring the history of the Durham Market Hall and the surrounding Market Place.
This 45-minute walking tour takes participants around the Market Place and inside the Victorian covered Market Hall. The tour covers the building's history, from its origins on a medieval palace site to its role as a community hub. Participants will learn about the Market Place's role as a medieval trading hub and the Victorian project that created the current Market Hall.
