About
A triple bill of French avant-garde cinema: Ballet mécanique, La Coquille et le Clergyman and Paris qui dort.
Fernand Léger’s Ballet mécanique draws on Cubism; Germaine Dulac’s La Coquille et le Clergyman adapts a script by Antonin Artaud; and René Clair’s Paris qui dort follows a city frozen by a scientist’s ray. Doors open at 17:30, with the films beginning at 18:30 and a short introduction from the curators.
