Mini-Museum Explorers

Rotating creative under-fives sessions with storytelling, songs and crafts at Portsmouth's museums, each with its own theme and location.

Mini-Museum Explorers is a programme of creative sessions for children under 5 and their parents and carers, rotating between Portsmouth's museums and sites. Each session has its own theme — from a disco party linked to the 'Whispers from the Dancefloor' exhibition to wartime animal heroes, Tudor life and Solent marine life — and combines storytelling, songs, sensory activities, arts and crafts inspired by the collections. Sessions run for one hour and the 23 January 2026 opening session, 'Express Yourself – Disco Party!', takes place at Portsmouth Museum and Art Gallery.
