Little STEAMers: Coding Unplugged
About
A screen-free early coding workshop for ages 3–5 with games, stories and a programmer-and-robot maze activity at Portsmouth Historic Dockyard.
A playful, screen-free introduction to coding for children aged 3–5, inspired by how Royal Navy crews rely on clear instructions and teamwork. Children explore patterns, sequences and directions through a mystery bag, movement, music, games and stories, then take turns as 'programmer' and 'robot' to navigate a maze, learning about debugging when instructions go wrong. Two one-hour sessions run on the day, each limited to 12 children and requiring adult accompaniment; places must be booked in advance and the event is included in general admission.
