Our Christmas Day Menu

A five-course Christmas Day lunch at The Coat & Bear in Newbury, starting with Buck's Fizz and featuring roast turkey, beef fillet, halibut and festive desserts.

The Coat & Bear serves a five-course Christmas Day menu at £115 per person, beginning with a glass of Buck's Fizz on arrival. Courses include roast parsnip soup, a choice of Chalkstream trout duo or Jerusalem artichoke risotto, mains such as free range roast turkey, aged beef fillet, celeriac and mushroom en croute or Isle of Gigha halibut, and desserts including homemade Christmas pudding and Yule log, finishing with cheese. A dedicated children's menu for under-eights costs £25. Pre-orders are due by 1st December 2026 and a £75 per person deposit is required.
