Discover the history of Galkoff’s kosher butcher’s shop and the surrounding community.
Explore an eclectic corner of Liverpool history, from the reconstructed frontage of Galkoff’s kosher butcher’s shop and its conserved 1930s green tiles to the Jewish community and court housing of Pembroke Place. The exhibition brings together archaeological research, conservation and the work of more than 70 volunteers, in partnership with Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine.
