About
On the 500th anniversary of William Tyndale’s banned English Bible, historian and guide Ed Glinert recounts how the 1526 translation was smuggled into England, publicly burned and used to punish readers.
The talk follows Tyndale’s translation’s arrival in 1526, its prohibition and the harsh punishments imposed on people caught reading it. Ed Glinert presents the story on the 500th anniversary and takes questions.
