About
A free one-hour commemorative event of spoken word and live music marking 500 years since Tyndale's 1526 New Testament, with a new composition's world première.
A commemorative afternoon marking 500 years since William Tyndale's 1526 New Testament, the first English Bible translated from the Greek. Tyndale's own prose is read aloud, interwoven with vocal and piano repertoire on themes of light, sacrifice and courage, culminating in the world première of a new composition, Let There Be Light, performed by Tyndale's descendant Jack Tyndale-Biscoe. The event lasts one hour and is followed by a drinks and refreshments reception.
