Mediterranean Fever + Screen Talk

Maha Haj’s dark comedy-drama follows a depressed aspiring novelist whose new neighbour becomes an unexpected friend. The screening is followed by a Screen Talk with Haj.

Waleed, a stay-at-home father in Haifa, dreams of becoming a novelist while struggling with chronic depression. When Jalal, a small-time crook, moves in next door, their uneasy first encounter develops into a friendship that brings Waleed’s ulterior motive into play. The LPFF detail page bills a Screen Talk with director Maha Haj.
