World Music Workshop in West Ham

A free fortnightly world music workshop where participants learn and arrange songs from around the world by ear with The Flotsam Orchestra.

Flotsam Sessions hosts an evening workshop at Rosetta Arts where participants learn songs and tunes from different musical traditions, initially taught by ear and then arranged and rehearsed as an ensemble. Singers and acoustic instrumentalists are both welcome, with an emphasis on listening, developing the ear, and exploring rhythm, phrasing and expression. Sessions build towards a group performance at the end of each term. Sign-up is required in advance via an online form.
