About
Hundreds of hand-knitted and crocheted poppies made by local people are displayed around the church in the run-up to Remembrance Sunday.
St Mary's Church hosts a poppy display marking Remembrance. Local organisations, church members and friends have knitted or crocheted hundreds of poppies, which are mounted in displays around the church. The display can be viewed from 31 October and remains in church until Sunday 15 November. The church is generally open during daylight hours, so visitors are welcome to drop in and admire the work of the dedicated team.
