Beech wood and seagrass footstool weaving one-day workshop
About
A one-day small-group workshop at Westonbirt Arboretum where Felicity Tran teaches you to weave a beech footstool with seagrass cord.
Traditional upholsterer and seat weaver Felicity Tran leads this one-day workshop at the arboretum's Learning Centre, teaching participants to weave a footstool using sustainable seagrass cord over a locally made solid beech frame, available in natural or painted finishes. No previous experience is needed, and each attendee leaves with a completed, professional-standard footstool. Tea, coffee and biscuits are provided (bring a packed lunch), and the ticket includes arboretum entrance. Workshops are limited to eight attendees.
