Origins of Middle-earth: J.R.R. Tolkien and Sarehole Guided Walk

Follow a two-mile guided route from Sarehole Mill past Tolkien’s childhood home to Moseley Bog.

The walk explores the scenery that inspired Tolkien when he lived near Sarehole Mill as a child. The route is around two miles and includes steps and a boardwalk that can be slippery when wet. Wear suitable walking shoes; the route is not accessible to wheelchair users or pushchairs. Allow approximately one hour.
