Artist Office: Rest is Ecological

Artist Niki Colclough launches her publication Rest is Ecological with a conversation with producer Niamh Riordan and a restful sound bath at Crosby Library.

This artists' office event marks the launch of Niki Colclough's new publication Rest is Ecological, which gathers new writing, collages and notes from the Rest Reading group she convened monthly at Crosby Library. The publication explores how rest might act as a form of ecological activism within systems driven by continuous growth, drawing on authors including Anna Lowenhaupt Tsing, Tricia Hersey and Audre Lorde. Niki will be in conversation with producer Niamh Riordan, followed by an invitation to take part in a restful sound bath in the library. Attendees receive a copy of the publication with a bespoke Risographed insert; the session is limited to 15 spaces and suitable for adults aged 18 and over.
