About
Sam Hill's photographs of young people in Preston in 1980 are shown beside new portraits of more than forty of the original subjects, made after he traced them through social media in 2026.
The exhibition revisits a project Hill made in his final year at art college, when he photographed teenagers around Preston town centre. It pairs the original images with recent encounters and reflections on the lives the subjects have led since. John Davies's 1981 Grundy Art Gallery showing provides the historical starting point.
