Wild Woman Winter Solstice
About
A women's Winter Solstice gathering at Cwmffrwd Farm with a shared afternoon tea, storytelling, a dusk walk and sauna.
Hosted by Pridie Tiernan of The Wild of the Words, this three-hour afternoon marks the Winter Solstice, when the sun reaches its most southern point at 3.50pm on 20 December. The programme begins with a 'witchy afternoon tea' where guests share food, stories, songs and poems, and bring a symbolic object for the altar and a small token to gift another woman. A dusk walk follows to the old ash tree on the mountainside to mark the sun's furthest point, with candle-lighting and singing, before a closing sauna session. The event is open to women who have attended previous gatherings and newcomers alike.
