Winter Solstice Gathering | Casgliaf Gaeafol
About
An evening Winter Solstice gathering at the stone circle with a Yule log burning, wildlife feeding, lantern making, natural crowns and reflection.
The National Botanic Garden of Wales hosts a three-hour Winter Solstice Gathering at the stone circle next to Broadwalk, marking the longest night and the return of the light. Activities include burning a Yule log with written intentions, decorating an outdoor tree with wildlife-friendly treats, making paper lanterns followed by a night-time walk, crafting crowns from holly and ivy, and quiet journaling and meditation. Visitors are advised to dress warmly and wear suitable outdoor footwear; fire, lantern and wildlife-feeding activities are subject to garden safety guidance.
