Transatlantic Hot Club Jazz

The Transatlantic Hot Club performs gypsy jazz, swing, latin jazz and French chanson on harp and violin at The Market Theatre.

Founded in 2013 in Guadeloupe by violinist Adrien Chevalier and harpist Ben Creighton Griffiths, the Transatlantic Hot Club specialises in the music of Django Reinhardt and Stephane Grappelli played on harp and violin, an unusual pairing for this style. Their repertoire also spans swing and latin jazz, French chanson and traditional European folk music. The flexible ensemble tours across Europe, the USA and the French Caribbean with a rotating line-up of international musicians.
