Spring Studies: Watercolour Journal Making
About
A watercolour workshop with artist Nicky Bell at The Arc, making a concertina sketchbook filled with spring studies.
This techniques-based workshop at The Arc Winchester teaches participants to make a folded concertina sketchbook and fill it with spring-themed watercolour studies embellished with simple drawings of seasonal nature. Led by artist Nicky Bell, the session covers wet-on-dry and wet-into-wet techniques, colour mixing for seasonal palettes, and brush techniques for varied textures. All materials are supplied; participants should bring an apron or old shirt. The workshop suits complete beginners and those refreshing their skills, though some basic drawing skills are required.
