Murder and all that Jazz!

An interactive 1920s jazz-age murder mystery at Lauriston Castle where guests sleuth out the culprit over refreshments.

Edinburgh Living History perform an original murder mystery play set in 1926, when the new owners of the Laurels throw a cocktail party to launch a jazz club with an American speakeasy theme. The evening is disrupted by repercussions from the General Strike and the arrival of an unwelcome guest, culminating in a murder. Audience members play detectives, discuss suspicions over a light refreshment with a non-alcoholic drink and savoury snacks, and may win a small prize; 1920s dress is optional.
