Chiswick Eyot Conservation

A Thames21 volunteer conservation session on Chiswick Eyot, helping stabilise the island from erosion and improve it for wildlife.

Thames21 is working to restore Chiswick Eyot, an island in the Thames at Chiswick, and invites volunteers to help stabilise it from further erosion and enhance it for wildlife. Tasks include repairing the banks using willow spiling techniques, marginal planting, scrub removal, tree pruning, litter clearance and invasive plant removal. All are welcome and all equipment is provided; participants are asked to wear old clothes. The session runs from 10am to 2pm, with further dates in the series on 15 and 29 November 2026.
