Nightingales: Live with Sam Lee and Axel Wild

Sam Lee and Axel Wild bring nightingale song and live performance to the Discovery Centre for an evening exploring the bird’s voice and place in music.

Folk singer Sam Lee and sound recordist Axel Wild combine live song, stories and surround-sound recordings to explore the nightingale’s life and its cultural significance. The evening also considers the connection between people, land and this endangered bird. Doors open at 7 pm for a 7:30 pm start; bring a torch for the unlit approach. Alcoholic drinks may be brought without corkage, while snacks and soft drinks are sold on site; do not bring food.
