Brilliant Birds with North Lakes Stained Glass

A stained-glass workshop making a bird design chosen from four patterns.

Tutor Kate guides participants through glass selection, safe handling, cutting, shaping, copper-foil wrapping and joining with solder. Choose from four bird patterns, including a hummingbird or kingfisher, seagull, puffin, or small wren, tit or robin. Tools, glass, materials and safety equipment are supplied. Wear closed shoes and tie back long hair. The organiser advises against attending while pregnant or breastfeeding because the solder contains lead. Ages 16–18 must attend with a responsible adult; maximum six participants.
