About

A seasonal narrow-gauge train journey to Santa’s Parlour, with a story written for Amberley and a gift for each child.

On the published dates, families can take the train to Santa’s Parlour, meet Father and Mrs Christmas, hear an Amberley story and receive a gift. Timed train departures run every half-hour from 10:30 to 15:00 except at lunchtime; arrive at least 15 minutes before the booked departure. These slots are for the train journey. The museum lists winter opening as 10:00–16:00. The train ticket is an add-on to standard admission, which must also be booked for each visitor except members. Dogs and pushchairs cannot enter the parlour.
