Paul Pfeiffer: Pasodoble
About
A new single-screen video installation by Paul Pfeiffer exploring the networks, labour and mediation sustaining bullfighting as a public spectacle.
Thomas Dane Gallery premieres Paul Pfeiffer's Pasodoble (2026), a single-screen video installation examining the structures and practices that frame and perpetuate the corrida. The work moves digressively across sites of labour, performance and mediation, shifting attention away from the bullfight's climactic moments towards the interdependent dynamics of witness, sound and ritual form. It continues Pfeiffer's longstanding investigation of spectacle, spectatorship and collective feeling. A private view takes place on Monday 12 October, 6–8pm.
