About

A free half-term programme of alien-themed hands-on science activities, animation workshops, games and family sci-fi screenings at the Science and Industry Museum.

The museum's October half term programme offers alien- and space-themed activities inspired by the Horrible Science: Cosmic Chaos exhibition. Families can storyboard and animate their own extra-terrestrial character in the Animation Studio, design an alien species, build a spacecraft with a giant rocket kit, and take on space-themed arcade games on the big screen. Morning screenings of Pixar's Lifted and BBC's The Smeds and the Smoos run in Revolution Manchester, and from 24–31 October visitors can meet the monster Albert Slime-stein in the Upper Yard as part of Halloween in the City's MCR Monsters. The museum also opens early at 9.00 from Monday 26 to Friday 30 October.
